MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) – Customers of Atlantic Broadband can seek a credit on their bills if they were impacted by Thursday’s internet and cable outage.
The outage that impacted Miami Beach was a result of a car crash that severed the lines.
Repairs took additional time due to the severity of the damage.
Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine plans to bring the issue to the City Commission because he is concerned the crash brought to light a lack of back-up lines.
Atlantic Broadband told Levine the company plans to look at ways to minimize the concern in the future.
Customers wanting a credit should contact an Atlantic Broadband service center.
